I’m hoping everyone who reads this either remembers of has heard of the most brilliant comic strip PEANUTS. It was created by Charles Schultz and ran from 1950 to February 13 2000, At its peak Peanuts ran in over 2,600 newspapers with a readership over 355 million in 75 countries.

Who was your favourite? Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Linus, Woodstock, Peppermint Patty?? – (For me it was a bit like Starsky & Hutch I kept changing my mind depending on my mood and what the character did that episode!) I loved Snoopy always, totally chilled lying on his doghouse roof. Charlie Brown for his ability to rise beyond his constant anxiety and soldier on, Lucy for her tenacity and gung- ho attitude and finally Linus and Woodstock – two of the cutest characters EVER! What’s not to love!

So the fabulous news is that GAP has launched a LIMITED EDITION KIDS COLLECTION WITH PEANUTS. Bad news is that is KIDS only. Good news is that as I am short of stature the bigger kids sizes fit me – yah. So I’ve got a Woodstock Navy kids T-shirt on hold for me at my local Gap Kids store and I’m headed down there today to get my mitts on it!

The exclusive gap Kids collection celebrates the optimistic and adventurous essence of Snoopy, Charlie Brown and the gang, created by Charles M. Schulz almost 65 years ago

This exclusive childrenswear collection combines Gap’s timeless design aesthetic with the unique qualities of each Peanuts™ character.


Gap and Peanuts™ were both born out of California and are similarly anchored in celebrating optimism, self-expression and individual style. The latest Gap collection brings to life the vintage, nostalgic, look and feel from the 1960’s and 70’s; reminiscent to the era wherein each company began and pays homage to the distinct style of Charlie Brown and friends.

“In collaborating with Peanuts™, we wanted to celebrate their heritage by incorporating vintage artwork and an exclusive collection of hand sketched drawings for baby,” said Phu Ngo, VP, Merchandising at Gap. “By going back to the origins of the story, we truly find the special timelessness of the brand and re-introduce it to a new generation.”
